What is Microfiber ?

Microfiber definitions vary, also known as micro-fiber, fine denier fiber, fine fiber. Microfiber or microfibre is synthetic fiber finer than one or 1.3 denier or decitex/thread. This is 1/100th the diameter of a human hair and 1/20th the diameter of a strand of silk. 

Microfiber consists of very fine threads of polyester and polyamide (nylon) that combine to form a single thread. Microfibers are so thin (100 times thinner than a single strand of human hair) that when they are woven together they create a surface area 40 times more than that of a regular fiber – creating an expanded surface area with dramatically enhanced absorbing power due to the capillary action of the fine threads. Microfiber is traditionally defined as a fiber with a denier of less than one. Denier is a measure of thinness of fiber and is the weight in grams of a continuous fiber of 9,000 meters.

Microfiber is used to make microfiber towels, microfiber mops,  bathrobes, and cleaning products. The shape, size, and combinations of synthetic fibers are selected for specific characteristics, including softness, toughness, absorption, water repellency, electrodynamics, and filtering capabilities.

         Towels can be divided into many different types. By materials, there are cotton towels, microfiber towels, bamboo towels and bamboo-cotton towels Basically. By application, it can be divided into beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, golf towels, gym towels, salon towels, kitchen towels, hotel towels, tea towels, compressed towels and so on. If you tell them by production technology, there are plain woven towels, dobby towels, jacquard towels, velour towels and printed towels.

Embroidered Towels

       Towels with embroidered logo are the most popular options for promotional towels. You basically can embroidery on all kinds of towels. And you can have several different colors for each embroidery Logo. It’s more economical and convenient comparing with other types. A small size embroidery will only cost you several cents in most case. And MOQ of Embroidery is much smaller than other types. If you only need several hundreds piece of towels, embroidery will be the best options for you.

Printed Towels

         Towels with printed logo are widely used for a personalized beach towels and bath towels. Usually front side of towels will be sheared before screen printing. This lead to a soft hand of a printed towels, meanwhile the sheared towel have a shorter life than others. Printed Logo have a higher resolution than embroidery or jacquard Logo. And color of printing can be done exactly as per your requirement. If you have very colourful design, screen printed towels will be the only options. In A Plus Textiles, we can print as many as 14 colors for each design.

Jacquard Towels

      A jacquard towel is a towel made from coloured yarns to weave the pattern (Logo) into the towel. A jacquard towel isoften made with two colours, but sometimes more colours more can be woven. A jacquard towel usually has the pattern(logo) in reverse on the back of the towel. (Like a negative)

Yarn-dyed towels

        Yarn-dyed towels made from the finest quality premium cotton are popular for their excellent quality, good feeling, high absorbency, cool colours, innovative designs, fabric and style. Yarn-dyed towels are manufactured with longer staple cotton for fewer joins to ensure stronger and smoother towels.
